 Tempera on canvas, 40x50

My tamper version of the summer flowers, in my opinion.

After a long watercolor period, I decided to "relax" at the tempera. I wrote with puppy enthusiasm and thought about the connection of temperament and materials for creativity. I will not be surprised if a horoscope on this topic appears soon. It’s even surprising that this is not yet (or maybe I just don’t know?!). People with a passionate temperament like me, watercolor is difficult. But stubbornness does not allow to recede - I have to understand and understand her! I would splash everything on a plane and happiness, but with it everything is not so simple ... With this watercolor. Drawing and graphics were also not easy for me - no, they weren’t given, but I don’t like this thing.

I love it when others do it, but I force myself to whip and gingerbread. On cellulose, I never do a preliminary pencil drawing for watercolors (even for a portrait). I can get carried away with graphics, concentrate, calm down ... But the real pleasure is just to throw yourself out and run out of steam in a couple of hours. For these purposes only pasty techniques are suitable.

Restrained, calm people, and especially frugal (tight-fisted - let's just say) covering techniques are contraindicated. They will not be able to drop a half-tube of paint into one work with a light soul. But the graphics and watercolors are quite to their liking.

BUT, as our teacher at the institute said, the desire for opposites in painting gives excellent results in personal growth and technique. So if it’s difficult for you to give strokes, you sometimes need to rape yourself and copy Van Gogh. So once I realized what pasty is - I was ordered to copy it and I copied. And I loved him very much for that !!!
